On my eyes: Delirious by Isadora
I am currently feeling inspired by the approaching summer and today I decided to bring out my Delirious palette from Isadora. This palette was released last summer and I think the colors in it are definite summer colors.
For this makeup I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base
Isadora Eye Shadow Palette in 54 Delirious, all of the colors except the brown one.
Make Up Store Cake Eyeliner in Black
Make Up Store Mixing Liquid
Estée Lauder Double Wear Zero Smudge Lengthening Mascara
Unfortunately it is time to say good bye to this mascara. I it used for way too long and it has started to behave a little strange. I won't be able to review this one because it is no longer performing at its best and the pictures won't make it justice.I have to say that I loved this mascara and the way it made my lashes look. It didn't smudge and it gave a really good length to my lashes.
Thumbs up for this one.

I think I have a new obsession...
I usually stay away from lipglosses when I buy makeup. I have always seen myself as a lipstick and lipbalm kind of girl, lipgloss wasn't really my thing.
But lately I have found myself reaching more and more for the few lipglosses that I own . My favorite so far is also my most expensive one, the Aqualumière Gloss in 67 Diamond Rose from Chanel. This was a Christmas gift and I love this lipgloss, it is the perfect pink with some silver shimmer in it. This lipgloss has me wanting more and I am starting to see what all the lipgloss fans are talking about. I have decided that it is time to start expanding my lipgloss collection and to get myself some more colors to choose from.
Being the makeup addict that I am I decided that this is the perfect excuse to go to MAC and check out their lipglosses. I ended up buying two Lipglasses from MAC.
I did take a look at the new (at least it is new here in Sweden) Pret-A-Papier collection. The only thing that I picked up from this collection was the Fold And Tuck Lipglass. This is a coral lip gloss with some pearl in it. This Lipglass is very pigmented and I think this coral color will be perfect this summer.
The other Lipglass that I picked up came from the Liberty of London collection. Most of the collection was sold out but there was one lipglass in the color English Accents left. I fell head over heals for this one. This is a cool-toned pink with shimmer and very pigmented. It has a tendency to look a little 80's on the lips but the color is amazing. I find that it looks best if applied thinly on the lips.
I just have to mention the packaging on the Liberty of London collection. It is absolutely gorgeous. But also more expensive than the regular packaging. I paid 5 SEK more for this Lipglass, but in my opinion it was definitely worth it...

On my eyes: Melon and Soft Brown
It is only the middle of May but I am in complete summer mode. It is very cold and the weather could be better but I am starting to feel that summer is near and it is reflected in my makeup. I love wearing Melon pigment from MAC in the summer. I love this golden peach color on the lids it works great with a tan but just as well when you are pale as a ghost. This is the color that I wear when I long for warm and sunny weather.
Here is a list of the product that I have used:
Isadora Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow in 61 Pink Apricot as a base on the lid.
MAC pigment in Melon on the lid.
MAC eye shadow in Soft Brown in the crease and under the eyes.
MAC eye shadow in 100 Strokes in the outer corner of the eye.
MAC eye shadow in Brulé as a highlight.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Yeyo in the inner corner.
MAC pigment in Vanilla on top of Yeyo
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon as a eyeliner on upper lashline.
Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara in Brun Glamour/Brown.
Make Up Store Cover All Mix Pens as a concealer.

Review: The Falsies Volym' Express Mascara by Maybelline
I have this mascara in the color Brun Glamour/Brown. I wasn't paying attention when I bought this and picked up the wrong color. I like the color and I think that it works well with more neutral looks but I miss the impact that black has on my eyes. This looks a little bit dull to be honest.
The Falsies Volym' Express mascara comes with a large brush with an odd shape to it. It is curved and has one wide side and one narrow side. I don't understand the purpose with this brush and I find it difficult to use. After I have applied the mascara the lashes need a good comb through to look nice and the mascara has a tendency to end up on the lid. This is the main negative thing with this mascara, it is very messy to use. If you look very closely you can see mascara on my lid in the picture of my eyes. This is very hard to correct without ruining the makeup on my lids.
The staying power of this mascara is actually good. It does as I mention end up on the lid but I don't find a lot of mascara under the eyes after a long day at work. However I rarely wear mascara on my bottom lashes so this might have something to do with it.
Overall grade: This mascara is messy and doesn't apply very well. It doesn't even come close to give my lashes a "false lash" effect. I will not buy this mascara again.
This product was bought with my own money and it is my own opinion.

The lashes have been curled on both sides with an eyelash curler. I have applied two coats of mascara and I haven't combed through the lashes after application.

Some new things
I have been on a little break from shopping makeup. I did buy a lot of things when I was on vacation and thought it would do me good to put myself on a shopping ban during April. I managed to be quite good and didn't buy any makeup except for a new concealer to cover my break out that I suffered from.
Since it is May now I decided to break the ban and do some shopping. I didn't buy any makeup this time since I wasn't excited by anything that I saw but I picked up some other things.
I bought a new perfume. I have been into perfume lately and I wanted to check out the new scents from CLEAN. I wasn't very impressed with Outdoor Fresh but I fell in love with Summer Linen. This is a summer fragrance that has notes of bergamotte, limonecello and Mirabelle Plum (source: Now Smell This). This is a citrus scent that isn't sharp but sweet and fresh. It is an Eau Fraîche so this isn't strong but a more subtle scent and I think it will be perfect during warm summer days.
I bought this at KICKS a Swedish beauty store and they have an offer going on. If you buy a perfume from CLEAN you get a gift. The gift is really nice and contains three 3 ml roller ball perfumes from CLEAN, the original scent, Simply Soap and Provence.
I also picked up some things for my hair. This wasn't planned but I found some nice things that I ended up buying.
I found the Biosilk Silk Therapy, a product I have been looking forever since my hair stylist used it on me. I wasn't very smart and forgot to ask her where I could find it.
I also picked up the Shine Serum from Sachajuan. This is supposed to be a protecting and repairing care for damaged ends. I have never tried a product from this brand so this is going to be interesting.
The final thing that I picked up was the Tangle Teezer. I have wanted to try this brush for ages but never got around to ordering one. When I saw it in the store I simply couldn't resist. I did try it on dry hair when I got home but I felt that it made my hair a little bit static. I will have to test it out further before I can give you my final thoughts on it.
