I tried the nail repair kit that I bought recently and thought it was time to tell you if it worked. It was a 5 second repair kit, containing a 5 sec nail glue and a nail strengthening powder. I followed the instructions except for the last step. I thought it was unnecessary to cover my entire nail in a thin layer of glue, so I didn't.
It wasn't hard to do. The hardest thing for me was figuring out how to open the glue container. When I was finished it looked pretty good and it glued the nail back together. The next day it lasted about two to three hours. Then the glue loosened from the nail. I have a job that is though on my nails and it couldn't stand up to that. I tried to redo the repair when I came home and follow all the steps in the instructions, but the repair didn't last. So I ended up cutting the nail really short and hope that it doesn't break again.
